Color Without Compromise
A Corner Stone in the Pintabian World

Pintabian genetics have been in the making for 35 years

Pintabians are a horse breed that must have 99% or more purebred Arabian blood, with colored markings in a tobiano pattern. They can also be solid, but these are used as breeding stock. Pure Bred Arabians can also be registered Pintabian, but they are referred to as Outcross Pintabians, even those with Sabino markings. Adding Purebred Arabians to the Pintabian bloodline only strengthens the Pintabian Breed.

Pintabians are wonderfully versatile. They have beauty, intelligence, bright dispositions, and excellent stamina, which can make them ideal for a vast array of different types of competitions such as Halter, Western Pleasure, English, Hunting and Competitive Endurance, just to name a few. Also, they are terrific as Family Fun Horses.

They have nicely dished heads with wide-set eyes between delicate ears, an elegant long neck with a nice arch, short back, well leveled hip, and high tail carriage. The general height range is between 14.2 and 15.2, certain lines run taller than this, and weight is generally between 900 and 1,100 pounds.

Pintabians are a rare breed. There are only about 500 or so at this moment, so make sure to look for the gold seal with the Pintabian logo on the PHRI registration papers to verify that the horse you are purchasing is a true Pintabian or check with the Pintabian Horse Registry, Inc. At 218-436-SPOT.
